Visa and Stay back:

The application process for a Hungarian student visa involves four simple steps:

  • Accept an invitation from a Hungarian university.
  • Book an appointment.

The student visa remains valid until the completion of your educational program. If you wish to stay longer after your visa expires, you can search for a job and obtain a work permit. Indian students with a residence permit for studies can work full-time during their studies for up to 24 hours per week and for a maximum of 90 days or 66 working days per year outside their study term.

Upon obtaining a student visa, students in higher institutions in Hungary will receive a residence permit. After a certain period, they can apply for a national residence permit or an interim permanent residence permit. EEA citizens receive a permanent registration card after five years of uninterrupted residence in Hungary.
